Our Infant Program provides a warm, responsive environment where babies can feel secure while beginning their early learning journey. Infants learn through relationships, movement, sensory exploration, communication and everyday routines. Our educators take the time to understand each baby's individual personality, routines, interests and developmental stage.
Throughout the day, infants have opportunities for:
We work closely with families so that babies experience consistency and comfort between home and Purple Plum Centre.
The toddler years are full of discovery. Toddlers want to touch, move, explore, ask questions and, very importantly, do things themselves. Our program gives them plenty of opportunities to do exactly that. Educators follow children's interests while providing experiences that support their growing communication, social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills.
Activities may include:
We encourage toddlers to make choices, participate in routines and try things independently, while providing the support they need along the way.
Our Preschool Program encourages children to become confident thinkers, enthusiastic explorers and active participants in their learning. Rather than following a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach, our educators observe children's interests and use them as starting points for learning. Children may explore early literacy, mathematics, science, art, music, dramatic play, nature and the world around them through meaningful, hands-on experiences.
We encourage children to:
Our goal is not simply to prepare children academically for school. We want them to leave us with the confidence to try, the curiosity to explore, the ability to work with others and the excitement to keep learning.
There is a whole world outside waiting to be explored. Outdoor play is an important part of our day. Children need opportunities to run, climb, jump, balance, dig, explore and simply enjoy being outside. Children might notice a bird, discover a bug, collect leaves, watch the clouds or wonder why something grows. These simple discoveries can lead to conversations, questions, experiments and new learning.
We want children to develop healthy habits from an early age. Our daily routines include opportunities for active play, nutritious meals and snacks, hydration, rest and age-appropriate self-help skills. We also recognize that every child has their own routines, preferences and needs. We work with families to understand those needs and create a comfortable, supportive experience for every child.
We're caring for your child together. We don't see parents as visitors to our program — you are part of our community. Whether it's telling us about a new interest, a milestone your child has reached, something that happened at home or simply how their morning went, those conversations help us provide better care. When families and educators work together, children benefit the most.
